International Packages

Chinese Jadeworld® Package is considered as one of DIRECTV's base programming packages. It can be ordered alone. All other international packages have to be ordered together with one qualifying base package. For your convenience, DIRECTV created two English  base packages specifically for international customers. These two packages can only be ordered with an international package.

Receiver Upgrade and Additional Fees

DIRECTV® offers every qualified account free standard installation up to 4 rooms ($69 after 4th receiver). Customers have to pay a lease fee of $5/month  for second and each additional receiver. Second advanced product offer for qualified customers only who select an HD DVR or HD Receiver as the first free equipment upgrade. Advanced equipment instant rebate requires activation of the CHOICE XTRA package or above; MAS ULTRA or above (or for DVR receiver, the OPTIMO MAS package or above); Jadeworld; or any qualifying international service bundle, which shall include the PREFERRED CHOICE programming package.†† Normally additional receiver upgrade fees are: DVR for $99, HD for $99, HD-DVR for $199.
